Ellsworth Adhesives Europe is pleased to announce that Fisnar’s newly launched Model DCD, is now available to order.

The Model DCD is a bench mounted, dual cartridge dispensing machine offering users a cost effective solution for low volume mixing and dispensing of two-part materials in dual cartridges.

Each feature of the Model DCD (link) has been meticulously designed for the optimal user-experience. The fully portable bench-mounted system is simple to install and program for accurate two-part dispensing. The dispenser is mounted on a robust bench support, resulting in a system that can be pneumatically controlled and adjusted in height and angle for dispensing. A compact controller provides all the necessary air logic functions, and maintains control of air pressure to the dispenser.

The machine includes a pneumatically actuated dual-cartridge piston dispenser, which applies pressure to accurately meter materials contained in a dual cartridge. The machine’s static mixer finally combines the two materials, while the piston retraction control allows for easy loading and unloading of the cartridge.

A pinch-valve is with each system for increased accuracy and drip-free dispensing of low-viscosity materials. The valve is fitted to the exit tip of the static mixer and operated by an air portal on the controller and a pneumatic foot pedal facilitates the hands-free operation

Special credit must be given to Ellsworth Europe colleagues, Susan McNicol (Customer Service) and Tom Harrison (Sales) whom are responsible for tending the Raytheon Account and have worked extremely hard to maintain a strong partnership.

This year is not the first time that Ellsworth Adhesives Europe has picked up a Supplier Award from Raytheon, having received a Bronze award in 2011 and Silver in the years 2009 and 2010. Liquid Control Ltd, a global provider of resin mixing solutions, has just announced details of its new brand identity and from now onwards will be known as Fluid Research Ltd.

As well as a new name, the new brand image also includes a new logo and new corporate colours. This rebranding initiative acts in support of the company’s long term growth strategy, a major part of which involves working alongside Fluid Research Corporation, based in California.

Liquid Control Ltd and Fluid Research Corporation have recently joined forces to create a formidable partnership in mix and dispense equipment innovation. Both companies have a long standing reputation for quality and service and will work together to offer the most up-to-date and innovative technologies in all aspects of resin dispensing. The new facilities are nearly 21,000 ft², almost double the size of the previous factory. Production now sits side by side with Research and Development teams so the whole manufacturing process is seamless. It also includes purpose built testing facilities as well as new office accommodation. The move to a new building reinforces the commitment by Fluid Research to invest for the future and signals a new era for the company.

Ellsworth Adhesives Europe is pleased to announce availability of the new Dymax Model 485 needle valve.

The new needle valve by Dymax offers high dispensing precision thanks to its material flow adjustment, which enables shot-to-shot consistency. Created to deliver precise dots or fine beads, Model 485 has a pneumatic needle valve with in-built stroke adjustment and this special design feature facilitates the fine-tuning of dispense volume, ensuring accurate and consistent deposits.

The Model 485 valve is compatible with most standard fluid packages and delivery systems, meaning users can dispense from pressurized cartridges, bottles and pails.

A flexible addition to the Dymax product range, Model 485 is suited to a wide range of applications including glob-top dispensing and dispensing of UV light-curable adhesives in medical-device manufacturing.

Model 485 is available as a stand-alone item for mounting into automated systems, or combined with the Dymax DVC-345 bench-top valve controller and material reservoirs of various styles and sizes. Additional accessories, such as valve stands and various style dispense tips, are also available for this system.

Fisnar, a leading manufacturer of dispensing equipment, has just launched a new line of THERMADOSE^® hot melt production equipment that will be available immediately from Ellsworth Adhesives Europe. Machine improvements to the new system provide the ultimate in pulse-free, temperature controlled, thermoplastic dispensing for industrial applications using pressure-sensitive adhesives, contact adhesives, waxes and sealants.

THERMADOSE^® Reservoir tanks are coated with inert PTFE heated by quick-change cartridges for easy maintenance and the Tank controllers include independent over-temperature and over-pressure protection for safe operation. Independently controlled heat zones minimize adhesive degradation for precise, uniform patterns.

Operation of the new equipment is simple – control settings are input using an easy-to-use touch-pad providing simple and rapid setup while LED indicators monitor operation status and functions. Machines can be configured for use in manual and automated applications using either a hand-valve or automated-valve applicator.

Pail and Drum Melters in the THERMADOSE machine handle high volume production requirements of hot melt EVA, PSA, and PUR, supplied from 5 gal (20 L) pails or 55 gal (200 L) drums. Melters include precision gear-pump technology providing pulse-free flow of adhesive for precise gluing applications.
