Ellsworth Adhesives Europe is now taking orders for the new Metcal GT90 and GT120 soldering systems.
Metcal’s GT90 and GT120 Soldering Systems are adjustable temperature stations which use inductive technology as the heating mechanism. A first of their kind to the Metcal portfolio, the GT range offer class-leading time to temperature and high-temperature stability during soldering.
The GT90 and GT120 soldering systems are sold with a soldering station, external power supply, handpiece, and a work stand to support a variety of soldering and rework applications. The single-port soldering systems have a universal power input and are compatible with a wide variety of solder tips and cartridges (sold separately).
Both systems have an adjustable temperature range of +200°C to +450°C (392 to 842 °F). The GT adjustable temperature technology gives the systems a significant performance advantage with much faster time to temperature, thermal recovery, and temperature stability during soldering in comparison to competitors. This improved performance drives faster throughput and higher production rates.
Metcal’s GT90 and GT120 both offer the same high-performance technology but differ in overall power. The GT90 is supplied with a 90W external power supply and is well-suited to applications such as light/medium load industrial electronics, consumer electronics and mobile devices. In contrast, the GT120 is supplied with a 120W external power supply and can be used on heavier duty applications such as solar panels, power and energy equipment, or those which require high-thermal demand. The external power supply on both models is replaceable, which allows for a more compact design as well as improving the quality and life of the soldering systems.
